Brutus 2 - The Lost Harpies - JW

Hey Chris,
You accurately point to my calling of the muses.
John Milton is the first author that comes to mind.
And here, the muses are sirens/harpies, partially because they’ve withered from being put away so long, plus the fact that Brutus is such a raw story, I think a lot of the sound of it is more bitter than sweet. But, nevertheless, these songbirds still have nice boobs.

Brutus 1 - Dedication - JW

This metaphor is given more flesh in Brutus 3 - The Gravedigger. This is where we see Her and the functioning of Her unforgiving ecosystem.

Brutus 1 - Dedication

...swallowed into the Earth’s unforgiving bowels.

Hmmmm... kind of an unfortunate mixed metaphor?

I like the more anecdotal nature of this preface.

Brutus 2 - The Lost Harpies - chris

Hey johnny,

Has a lilting rhythm. Reads as though it might've been inspired by a specific voice or author.

bulls strength = bulls' strength, or bull's strength depending how strong he's supposed to be.

I thought I saw the sirens in here. As much as harpies.
